Gita style yoga class where every body is honoured.
This style of Hatha targets the endocrine system of the body. With our system under so much environmental pressure we need a style of yoga that will soothe and calm our central nervous system and dysregulated endocrine system.
The sequence of 10 postures, completed in a specific order, encourages the whole body to be systematically stretched, oxygenated, flexed and moved in such a way for maximum benefit for minimum energy expenditure.
The 60 minute class includes lengthy limbering, so you are ready to move effortlessly into the postures, pranayama (breathing practise) with yogic philosophy interwoven throughout.
When you enrol for your $15 class, you will receive a zoom link that will give you entry into the class in the 5 minutes before we begin. If you have not practised with me before, give yourself some time to arrive without rush or flurry.
Please have your mat or comfortable surface to practice upon, something warm to cover yourself with in quiet times during the class and maybe blocks or a chair handy if needed.

No experience needed.
Come with a readiness to slow down - perhaps, gain insights - maybe and connect with others exploring the sometimes quieter and sometimes noisier places within.
Be comfortable with a place to settle and be undisturbed for a while.
Create a scared space for you to nestle into, maybe a candle, or nice scents to draw you into this moment. Anything to enable you to honour the pause and the commitment you are making to yourself.
Bring a journal or somewhere to write/draw and reflect - at times we will be using a written medium.
Sometimes there will be movement.
It will be an adventure.
When you make your commitment to the session, you will receive a zoom link for the class.
I will be online in the 5-10 minutes before so take time to arrive and settle into yourself.

We will be taking it slow and always working with your body and where it is at..right now..not where you once were, hoped to be, or where others body's are next to you or - heaven forbid, on Instagram 😂.
The 75 minute class includes lengthy limbering, so you are ready to move effortlessly into the postures, pranayama (breathing practise) with yogic philosophy interwoven throughout. If you have not attended Island Healing before, give yourself some time to arrive without rush or flurry. It is easy to find when you have visited before but may be a little tricky the first time.

This is a class for those new to yoga, those returning in a body needing a gentler stretch or anyone hoping for a
mindful practice.
You will be guided in an invitational, non-judgmental environment. This class will focus the foundations of
Hatha Yoga, GITA style.
We will move through a sequence designed to balance the body and mind - including breath, asana (postures), and
mindfulness practices.
A perfect way to cushion your journey into 2025, amidst all the wonder and possibilities of the unfolding year.
I look forward to moving into alignment and ease with you.
