This style of Hatha yoga targets the endocrine system of the body.
With our system under so much environmental pressure we need a system of yoga that will soothe and calm our central nervous system and dysregulated endocrine system. The sequence of 10 postures, completed in a specific order, encourages the whole body to be systematically stretched, oxygenated, flexed and moved in such a way for maximum benefit for minimum energy expenditure.
We will be taking it slow and always working with your body and where it is at..right now..not where you once were, hoped to be, or where others body's are next to you or - heaven forbid, on Instagram 😂.
The 75 minute class includes lengthy limbering, so you are ready to move effortlessly into the postures, pranayama (breathing practise) with yogic philosophy interwoven throughout. If you have not attended Island Healing before, give yourself some time to arrive without rush or flurry. It is easy to find when you have visited before but may be a little tricky the first time.
